Contract:    Short-term (36-month secondment) 

About eBASE Africa


eBASE Africa is an international charity registered in Cameroon working to make basic services more effective by ensuring best available research evidence is applied in service delivery.
We operate across the evidence ecosystem – evidence implementation, primary research, evidence synthesis, evidence translation, and evidence implementation.


About the opportunity


We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled storyteller to join our team. As a storyteller, you should be able to develop stories widely on any topic. You should be vaccine friendly. You should know how to gather contents from mediums like, websites, blogs, brochures and newsletters, to use in refining stories in a way that is appealing and understandable. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Understand story fundamentals (details, and call to action)
  • Understand the effectiveness and appropriateness of story assets (texts, images, audio, videos, objects) and how to combine them
  • Creating strategic communication plans from research through measurement and evaluation, and in designing specific content strategies to meet organizational objectives.


Skills and Experience Required

  • You should have at least a bachelor’s degree in Arts.
  • You should be proficient in English or French.
  • Being bilingual is an added advantage. (Can speak, write and understand both French and English excellently).
  • Be able to dive deep into the data, extract key insights and effectively communicate them.
  • Be able to create connections, tap into emotions, convey meaning without harming those concerned.
  • Be able to communicate moral and ethical positions and the transfer and preservation of values.
  • Expertise with online platforms: content management system for web, e-news letter services, and social media.
