eBASE Africa is pleased to announce a public call for applications for membership on its Internal Review Board (IRB). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the promotion of research ethics and integrity across our programs and communities. 

About eBASE Africa

eBASE Africa is a multinational charity registered in Cameroon, working to make basic services more effective by ensuring the best available research evidence is applied in service delivery.

We operate across the evidence ecosystem – evidence implementation, primary research, evidence synthesis, evidence translation, and evidence implementation

About the opportunity

We are looking for people who are highly motivated in research and the protection of human subjects or human beings to join our internal review board. Your role will be to review protocols that come in, actively attain consolidation sessions, follow up on feedback provided and field supervision. 

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applications from individuals with expertise and experience in any of the following areas:

Researcher
Clergy or faith-based leadership
Medical practice
Social work or community representation
Persons living with disabilities
Data analysis or research analytics
Legal practice
Finance or accounting
Eligibility:

All applicants must hold at least a first degree.
Benefits: 

  • Members will get free TREE training on protocol review
  • Chance to work with a team of highly experienced and passionate researchers 
  • There is no direct compensation. It is voluntary.
